Entremets and Petits Gateaux

Entremets are mousse based layer cakes and are most probably served in high end restaurants, hotels, casinos, etc. Petits Gateaux are smaller versions. Enjoy the show.

And done…

I’m done.  FINALLY DONE.  I was sooooo done.  I’m tired of all this meal prep. I’m tired of having to think before I even look at food.  I’m tired, but I’m finally done.  Monday morning and sprang out of bed, showered, raced to work to find a scale early so that I could enjoy eggs and green chili. Drum roll please……I lost 9 pounds.  WHAAAAAAAAAT???!!!  9 pounds?! I haven’t weighed this little since college.  9 pounds less is 5 pounds away from what I weighed in high school.  My clothes fit looser and my stomach is flat.  Good bye thigh junk! I am beyond excited!  I’m ready for the beach vacation in Florida now!!

As you can tell.  I’m not great at the blogging thing.  Here are pics from dinners and breakfasts that I had during my cleanse. You can see that you actually get to eat. You eat real food. Nothing processed, no dairy after week one, no animal protein after week one. Most meals were good.  Mark can vouch for that.  We both were very high energy in most of the time. Probably just a handful of days I was really tired.  Other than that, I felt great. Green tea saved me ;) You’ll see my feeling about the meals…

Day 16 Dinner.

I’m hangry.  Hungry + Angry.  I think I may still be recovering from the bike ride. Tonight’s dinner I improvised a little because I was hungry all day.  I even cheated with 1/2 cup of plain yogert. Feed this girl!!!  Here is a pic of dinner.  The additional 1/2 cup of brown rice, I made into smoked tempeh and avocado sushi. I just felt I needed the extra protein.

But here is the deal…I’m hungry, but I’ve managed to lose 6 pounds!  SIX POUNDS!!! I haven’t weighed this little in I don’t know how long. I weigh less than I did after finishing P90X and Insanity: Asylum!!  I’m getting the results that I want!!  WOOHOOO!!!!

Dinner Day 15

Looks pretty good eh? I was full!! FINALLY!  All day I’ve been starving. Probably not the best idea for me to do a strenuous 20 mile bike ride in the mountains the day before.  That is why I was warned to do light exercises….Whatever.

Day 11 Dinner

Tonight’s dinner I was not looking forward to just because I knew I’d be hungry afterwards.  And I was right.  Here it is…Hearty Miso Soup.  It was great tasting, but I am still hungry (I even cheated and ate about 1/3 cup of leftover pinto beans from the other night….LAME.  Maybe I’ll lose some weight? Fingers crossed. I was going to weigh myself this morning, but the hospital moved the scale I use…I’ll have to find another.

Day 6 dinner

Here was dinner.  I am full!  I’ve been satisfied before, but feel full today. Toasted millet, roasted root vegetables and zucchini and cashew soup.  I have to share the soup recipe.  It was AWESOME. It is definitely going into the permanent rotation.

1 large or 2 small zucchini

1/4 cup raw cashews

Salt or seasoning to taste

Soak cashews in enough water to cover for 1 hr.

Steam zucchini.

Place both in a food processor and blend to desired soup consistency. May need to add water (I bet a broth would be good too). Heat on the stove until warmed through, not boiling.

Enjoy!

For my journal: I was told days 3-5 were tough because toxins were being released.  I guess I felt it on Day 6. I started out with a ton of energy in the morning, then was wiped out the rest of the day. I napped, which I rarely do. Weird, achy feeling in my forehead and jaw muscles???  Weird.  I feel better this evening ;)

Days 4-6 of the Ultimate Reset Cleanse

Day 4 I woke up and did a days worth of work in 3 hours.  I was full of energy!!!  Woohoo! Delicious foods again: 2 cups fresh, local fruits and yogurt with honey!  I went to happy hours with some friends and drank water like a champ.  Mark has a designated drive for 3 more weeks.  We did get Garbanzo’s for dinner…Here is a pic.Image

Tabouli, romaine, tomato/cucumber salad, pickled eggplant and cabbage and grilled chicken.  I am sure all of those are good for the cleanse.  I probably should not have had the felafel.  Oh well.

Day 5 I get to work and one of my docs brought this in. What a jerk?!  I resisted.  It smelled good, but I really didn’t crave it, or HAVE to have it.  I was strong!  Cupcakes are no match for quinoa salad, raw veggies and hummus (my lunch)!

My energy level at the end of day 5 was low.  I feel asleep at 830p!!  I missed Michael Phelp’s gold.  Oh well!

Here is Day 6’s breakfast. Baked tempeh, whole grain toast, steamed spinach and kale and avocado. The jury is out on the tempeh…Maybe I should have marinated it longer? It smelled good, but tasted like bread?  Weird.  Anyways, I have a ton of energy this am!!
